## Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of objects-of-interest.com and any guides, journal entries, or other content we provide. By using the site or buying a guide, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

## Accounts and verified email

Some guides are free but require a verified email. We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email; we do not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure and for activity that happens under your session. You must be at least 16 years old to create a session or buy a guide.

## Guides, access levels, and licences

Each guide is Public (open to everyone), Email (free, requires a verified email), or Paid (requires a purchase). Paid and Email guides are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use and are tied to the email used for access.

You may not redistribute, resell, publish, scrape, or share gated guide content, map coordinates, or downloads. You may not use automated tools to copy gated content or to circumvent access controls.

## Purchases and pricing

Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and may change. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. A purchase unlocks the guide for the purchasing email once payment is confirmed by our payment provider.

## Refunds, revocations, and disputes

Because guides are digital content delivered immediately, purchases are generally final. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or disputed, access to the affected guide is revoked. If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute so we can help.

## Intellectual property

The site, guides, photographs, maps, and text are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

## Your submissions

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to operate and improve the site. You confirm that you have the right to send it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

## Third-party links and services

Guides may link to third-party places, websites, or booking services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

## Availability and changes to the service

We may add, change, suspend, or withdraw content or features at any time. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

## Disclaimer of warranties

The site and guides are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Travel information is editorial: verify opening times, prices, access, and safety details before you rely on them.

## Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or guides. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

## Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the site, to the extent permitted by law.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state and federal courts located in California, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
